Contact
Email contact@amazespec.co.nz. Tell us which device you use and what you were doing. Please don't send project documents unless we ask: we don't hold your projects, and we'd rather keep it that way.
If you find an apparent error in AmazeSpec, please tell us as soon as you can, and don't rely on it in a document you issue.
Questions
Where are my projects stored?
On your device. They are not on our servers, so we cannot read, restore or delete them. Keep your device backed up, and use “Save a copy” to keep a copy wherever you choose, for example in your iCloud Drive.
What happens to my projects if my subscription ends?
They stay on your device. You can still open, read and export them, as PDF and as a saved copy. Creating projects and changing existing ones need an active subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription, or ask for a refund?
Your subscription is managed by Apple. Cancel it in your device's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I changed device. How do I get my subscription back?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, open AmazeSpec, and choose “Restore purchases” on the subscription screen.
Does AmazeSpec check my specification against the Building Code?
No. It points out what is missing, unresolved or inconsistent, and names the document each fact rests on. “Nothing open” means AmazeSpec found nothing it can list, not that the document is ready or compliant. Whether the building complies is a professional conclusion, and it is yours.
Why does my document say “not specified”?
Because that decision has not been recorded. AmazeSpec never fills in a decision for you: the gap stays visible until you make it.
Why does my export say “demo content, not for construction use”?
Because some of the sections the project uses have not yet been marked as reviewed on this project. The marking goes when the review is done. It is not a line to delete.
What does the list of manufacturers' documents show?
For each document the specification cites: its name and edition, a link to it, the date it was read, and what AmazeSpec found at that address on the day of the export (unchanged, revised since, reached but not compared, unreachable, or no address). AmazeSpec never copies a manufacturer's document into your export.
A manufacturer updated a document. Will my project change by itself?
No. AmazeSpec's library changes only with a new version of the app, and a document you have already exported never changes.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later.
